Warehouse Workers Aren’t Worried About Their Jobs

As companies further technology, workers believe that robots will not replace humans.

In a poll put out by NPR, 94 percent of U.S. workers from all industries believe they won’t lose their jobs to advanced technology. Retail warehouses are booming and more jobs are being created, thanks to a surge in online shopping.

Warehouse companies continue to reassure the few employees that are worried about being replaced by technology that the robots will only help ease their labor, not replace them.

"But at this time ... you would literally need a robot with the dexterity, with the fingers to pick up something light, as small as a ChapStick, and as large as a bottle of shampoo," Radial warehouse manager Alex Economos tells NPR.
