Parsippany, N.J.—Oct. 9, 2012—INTTRA, a global network for ocean shipping, released its Shipping Application Delivery Platform, which enables shippers and software providers to embed INTTRA’s capabilities to extend and enhance their own shipping solutions.
“With the introduction of this Shipping Application Delivery Platform, customers can leverage a complete INTTRA application from within their current systems and be up and running in as little as two weeks,” said Ivan Latanision, Senior Vice President, Product Management at INTTRA. “With more than a decade of experience delivering the most-used booking application, it was a natural next step for INTTRA to develop an application delivery platform for the industry. More than 9.25 million bookings were placed through INTTRA over the last year alone, so it made sense for us to create a mechanism for our customers to leverage these applications in their existing environments.”
Additionally, INTTRA Booking is now available through this new architecture, which enables members of the INTTRA network to access the full range of application features—including initiating, amending, canceling and tracking ocean bookings—at a fraction of the time and cost of developing a full-scaled booking application themselves.
“We are pleased to be delivering new value and time-saving capabilities to our customers,” said John Chang, Product Marketing Director, Shipping Solutions at INTTRA. “We are taking the lead on advancing the way that shipping applications are built. We are now delivering the ability to seamlessly integrate INTTRA shipment processing solutions through any logistics, transportation management or ERP system, providing customers with increased options to deploy a solution that best meets their needs.”
