International Forwarding, S.L. Joins the INTTRA Network

INTTRA e-commerce solution delivers efficiency and reliability to NVOCC

Parsippany, N.J.—June 19, 2012—Global multi-carrier e-commerce network provider INTTRA announced the addition of International Forwarding S.L. (IFS) to its INTTRA network. Based in Spain, the multinational non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) works exclusively with freight forwarders to bring consolidated container service to the global ocean shipping community.

By joining the INTTRA network, the company is not only able to help its customers improve efficiencies, but can ensure its place in the industry as a leader in employing an e-commerce solution.

“We chose to work with INTTRA because of the company's reputation for providing the best e-commerce platform for the ocean shipping industry,” said Jose Quilis, Chief Executive Officer, IFS. “Not only is INTTRA able to help us improve efficiencies but also provide services to make us more agile for our customers. We will be leading the way in e-commerce adoption for the NVOCCs.”

In conjunction with IFS joining the INTTRA network, the Port of Valencia's Port Community System, an INTTRA alliance partner, has enhanced its integration to include NVOCC services. With this enhancement, any Spanish freight forwarders connected to valenciaportpcs.net can now perform ocean shipping transactions to IFS through the INTTRA network.

“In today's competitive market, NVOCCs need accurate data and proven e-commerce solutions to increase profitability, ensure customer satisfaction and grow new business,” said Robert Serrano, INTTRA's Senior Sales Director for EMEA. “By joining the INTTRA network, IFS will gain a significant market advantage through faster service and increased visibility into the ocean shipping supply chain.”

The INTTRA/IFS integration project and the development of Valencia Port Community System integration to include INTTRA's NVOCC services have been carried out as part of the MOS4MOS Project, co-financed by the European Union.
