Eden Prairie, Minn.—March 20, 2012—Healy Wholesale, a long-time HighJump Software direct store delivery (DSD) customer, now utilizes the supply chain management software provider’s HighJump RouteCenter On-Demand, a software as a service (SaaS) version of the HighJump RouteCenter route accounting system (RAS).
Healy Wholesale, Fayetteville, N.C., markets the products of a number of major beer suppliers—including MillerCoors, Heineken, Guinness and New Belgium—and runs 22 routes per day. Using HighJump RouteCenter allows the company to increase functionality for beer distributors with such capabilities as order management; inventory management; route settlement; and pricing. The system also provides taxation and regulatory reporting to help manage the complex, highly-regulated nature of alcohol sales. Additionally, HighJump RouteCenter allows beverage distributors to perform mobile e-commerce transactions with retailers and supplier organizations.
“We think the efficiencies we gain across the company as a result of our new HighJump route accounting system will enable us to begin to look at expanding the company,” said Mac Healy, President of Healy Wholesale. “In addition, my current backups and system security aren’t as good as they should be and we don’t have a huge IT staff. The fact that HighJump RouteCenter On-Demand is hosted by HighJump means our system and data are safe and are maintained by the experts at HighJump.”
With HighJump RouteCenter On-Demand, the solution is hosted in a secure HighJump Software data center, so no hardware or server upgrade purchases are required. Software updates, maintenance and infrastructure support is performed by HighJump Software, allowing for direct store delivery companies to focus on running their core businesses operations.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Healy Wholesale as they migrate to our on-demand route accounting software,” said Russell Fleischer, Chief Executive Officer, HighJump Software. “We are confident Healy will enjoy the ability to implement a modern route accounting system without the complexity and cost of on-premise infrastructure.”
Healy Wholesale plans to implement HighJump Load Management as part of the second phase of the project. HighJump Load Management is a flexible, graphically-rich load planning system that optimizes the picking and loading of all types of vehicles.
