Chicago—Feb. 28, 2012—Supply chain logistics management solution provider CargoWise reached a multi-year agreement with Tigers Limited—a company created under a merger agreement between the Wako Logistics Group Inc. (WLG) and Kamino Logistics Group Ltd.—to provide the forwarding and logistics group with their ediEnterprise global freight and logistics technology platform.
Tigers will provide global freight and logistics services for their customers throughout Australia, Europe and the U.S. The newly formed group recognized the value of leveraging the current investment (WLG is already using ediEnterprise globally) to standardize their operations and expand their product offering across additional countries and lines of business.
“We retained Spectrum Partners LLC to assist us in selecting the operating system for our newly merged company,” said Andrew Jillings, Chief Executive Officer for Tigers Limited, Hong Kong. “Tigers and its strategic agent partners will operate ediEnterprise in offices across Asia, Australasia, the Americas and Europe under the Tigers brand. EdiEnterprise will be implemented across all offices to provide global management visibility and operational efficiency. Tigers will be able to offer its customers consistent, high-quality services across the freight and logistics supply chain.”
Tigers will benefit from comprehensive visibility during the merger and in the future by using ediEnterprise’s single-file-concept to link all relevant information together in one globally accessible database.
“We have worked closely with WLG for many years to support their business requirements—they were one of our launch customers when we introduced our U.S. Custom Brokerage product,” explained Gene Gander, Vice President of Business Development, Americas for CargoWise. “Independently, we had also been involved in business discussions with Kamino. The flexibility of ediEnterprise is a great fit for a company like Tigers and we welcome the opportunity to expand our existing relationship and provide Tiger a ‘best practices’ global system for managing their operations and serving their market.”
The ediEnterprise platform and universal workflow supports Tigers’ commitment to delivering both information and freight worldwide and enables the new group to deliver real-time information globally to customers.
