CargoWise Reaches Agreement with Lasso Logistics

Lasso Logistics implements CargoWise ediEnterprise supply chain logistics management system

Sydney, Australia—Feb. 16, 2012— Global logistics technology solutions provider CargoWise announced an agreement with Lasso Logistics Pty Ltd. to implement their hosted ediEnterprise solution.

In order to sustain their business models customer service performance and wide range of products and service, Lasso Logistics needed to maximize their efficiencies across all aspects of their expanding international operations.

“We needed the combination of consistently updated software, supported by up-to-date hardware, and have it seamlessly work to supply staff and clients with real-time information as if we were all in the same office,” explained  Shannon Nipperess, General Manager for Lasso Logistics, which provides supply chain services including product sourcing, manufacturing and consultation for clients.

“The key area to increase our efficiencies for real-time information was our shipping arm,” Nipperess continued. “We had software in the past to support documentation and accounting at a primitive level, but we needed much more from our system for back-end support with software able to change and grow with us.”

Lasso required technology downtime to be kept at a minimum level, without the need to have an in-house IT staff or additional spend on server hardware.

“The hosted ediEnterprise package allowed us to add or take away units and users as we please,” said Nipperess. “CargoWise takes care of any system upgrades and with their exceptional IT support, we have full confidence that all our enterprise technology needs will be met. Our downtime has been minimal and the communication and support from CargoWise has been fantastic.”

The ediEnterprise supply chain logistics management system helps automate and streamline the operations of logistics service providers such as freight forwarders, depots, container terminals, warehouses, fleets and ship agencies.

“Our goal is to give our customers complete flexibility through our on-demand fully-hosted model where they control the costs and they can easily manage their business as it grows across their entire logistics supply chain,” said Debbie Boyce, Vice President Business Development, CargoWise, Australasia. “We specialize in integration from our system to and from third-party customer systems. This reduces the technology-related overheads for the customer, allowing them to present their customers a complete IT solution.”
