Tempe, AZ December 3, 2002 Integration specialists Sterling Commerce and iWay Software have signed a deal that will bring iWay's Intelligent Adapters to customers of Sterling Commerce's business integration software.
Customers wishing to implement Sterling Commerce integration broker solutions, such as Sterling Integrator and Gentran Integration Suite, will now have available more than 200 of iWay's Intelligent Adapters that connect to packaged applications, data or middleware.
Sterling said the deal gives it the ability to meet a broader range of customer integration needs and will allow customers to see a faster return on investment.
"By offering iWay's extensive library of adapters, we're able to make Sterling Commerce solutions available to even more customers in a timely and cost-effective way," Sam Starr, president and CEO of Sterling Commerce, said in a company statement. "Every day, we're seeing businesses reap cost savings and find new efficiencies by integrating their systems within their enterprise and with their external trading partners. And through this partnership we've extended our ability to enable the integrated, extended enterprise."
iWay's library includes more than 200 plug-and-play data, application and technology adapters for application systems, legacy systems, messaging, customer relationship management and supply chain management.
"Sterling Commerce already has excellent B2B and process integration capabilities," said John Senor, president of iWay Software. "But any B2B process involves many back-office systems. iWay simplifies the way Sterling Commerce customers access these systems so that they can focus on their business processes instead of basic connectivity."
iWay's set of adapters will be available to Sterling Commerce customers as of the end of January.
