Alpharetta, GA — March 13, 2003 — Manufacturing execution systems provider Visiprise and EDS, a global services company, have announced an agreement to engage in cooperative product development, sales and support. As a first step, Visiprise SCE, a Web-based collaborative manufacturing execution system, and EDS PLM Solutions' Teamcenter manufacturing solution will be integrated to provide connectivity across product design, manufacturing planning and shop floor execution.
According to the companies, the agreement addresses the manufacturing planning and execution needs of the discrete manufacturing companies in industries including aerospace/defense, machinery, medical devices and high-tech.

He said Visiprise SCE's ability to deliver manufacturing plans and instructions to the shop floor can be driven from the product and process information configured in EDS PLM's Teamcenter, enabling the value of product design data and manufacturing process definition to be used directly in shop floor manufacturing systems.
