Burlington, Mass.—April 11, 2014—attune Consulting, a global solutions provider to the fashion and lifestyle industries, announced the success of its partnership with Bauer Performance Sports Ltd. (BPS). attune worked with BPS to implement the SAP AFS (Apparel and Footwear) 6.5 platform across two companies that form BPS’s lacrosse business. The implementation enabled BPS to integrate the companies to meet the increasing demand and seasonal deadlines associated with purchasing lacrosse equipment.
“Maverik and Cascade combine to represent one of the largest lacrosse equipment manufacturers in the world,” said Anne Marie Doucette, director of information services, at Bauer. “With attune’s help, expertise and manpower, we were able to quickly integrate product management systems across these two companies. For any business acquisition, a seamless integration is critical, but it’s more essential in a seasonal industry like lacrosse.”
BPS is a developer and manufacturer of ice hockey, roller hockey, lacrosse, baseball and softball equipment, as well as related apparel. Following the acquisitions of Maverik Lacrosse in 2010 and Cascade Helmets in 2012, BPS established a new and expanding presence in lacrosse, one of the fastest growing team sports in North America.
To take advantage of the opportunity, BPS needed to integrate the acquired companies and gain control over key processes—from production planning and inventory management to sales distribution and financial controls. While Maverik was running on an older version of SAP AFS, Cascade was using a legacy system—requiring both a significant system upgrade and first-time implementation of SAP. attune’s team of experts worked with BPS to implement SAP AFS 6.5 across the companies and create a scalable enterprise architecture that operates seamlessly with BPS’s existing technology environment.
