MUSTANG Jeans Selects Centric Product Lifecycle Management

Denim fashion brand adopts Centric PLM software, expanding the software provider’s reach in Europe

Los Gatos, Calif.Feb. 14, 2014Centric Software, Inc., is expanding its reach in Europe with the addition of its first customer in Germany, MUSTANG Jeans. MUSTANG selected Centric to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) software. The company—maker of the first jeans and first corduroy jeans in Europe—is implementing Centric 8 PLM software for apparel throughout its women’s wear and men’s wear product groups. MUSTANG also plans to implement Centric’s patent-pending Collection Book for Fashion iPad app. The app directly links a collection of styles from the Centric PLM solution to users through an interactive mobile device.

MUSTANG is deploying Centric 8 to support ambitious company growth goals, explained Julia Einsiedler, project manager at MUSTANG. “Centric offers a purely web-based solution, excellent mobile technology and deep industry expertise in its team.”

Designers, executive management, and staff from quality management, purchasing and sales use the software to support product range expansion, streamline the product development process, increase productivity, and improve collaboration within and between internal and external teams.

According to Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric, MUSTANG’s product development can benefit tremendously from the “single source of truth” about the company’s products and suppliers that Centric 8 offers. “The ability to achieve greater alignment between the company’s development and buying teams in Germany, and its agents and suppliers in Asia, allows MUSTANG to move forward confidently to meet its growth goals.”
