Green Bay, WI — April 13, 2006 — Schneider Logistics, an international lead logistics provider and part of Schneider National, is debuting a new service offering intended to help U.S. exporters to Canada reduce cost and take risk out of the supply chain by providing simplified access to the Canadian marketplace.

With AccessCanada, Schneider combines truckload, crossdock warehousing and less-than-truckload services to expedite freight delivery into Canada without tying up shipper inventory or capital in warehouses, the logistics company said.

To reach shippers' destinations in Canada, freight is delivered from a distribution center, manufacturing facility or import warehouse in the United States to a crossdocking facility in Canada. There, freight is divided into smaller shipments for final delivery by less-than-truckload carriers.

"With AccessCanada, crossdocking work is done seamlessly so clients do not have to warehouse freight or worry about safety stock," said John Ferguson, Canada general manager for Schneider National. "AccessCanada provides U.S. exporters with a cost-effective integrated logistics solution from the point of origin to the customers' shelves in Canada."

Headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Schneider Canada is the largest U.S.-based carrier in Canada and employs more than 750 Canadian associates. The company has provided transportation and logistics services for more than 15 years, including one-way, intermodal and dedicated, as well as transportation management services.

Schneider Canada is certified for both the Customs Self Assessment (CSA) through the Canada Border Services Agency and the U.S. Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). In addition, approximately 90 percent of Schneider's Canadian fleet is FAST certified, allowing for expedited border crossing service.
