Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Boston — September 7, 2005 — TNT Logistics, a provider of supply chain services, announces it will use Optiant's PowerChain suite to help its global customers eliminate millions of dollars in landed inventory costs.

Adding Optiant's solution for supply chain design and optimization to its portfolio of services, TNT said it will extend its offerings for helping create and tune companies' logistics networks. TNT added that the partnership meets growing customer awareness of the need for answers to the challenge of managing inventory and stock flows under ever-changing market conditions.

Today's supply chains are as much about right-sizing inventory levels and the logical positioning of products throughout the network, as they are about the ability to move materials effectively between multiple trading partners, said Keith Goldsmith, vice president of technology for TNT Logistics. Optiant's PowerChain suite enhances our ability to help customers further reduce their costs by modeling product flows from raw material states all the way through the final points of consumption. This will help our customers eliminate waste from their operations.

TNT's customers in key vertical markets, including automotive, industrial manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods, utilities, rail, and tires can use Optiant's offering to align their entire supply chains and their interdependencies.

TNT Logistics employs 40,000 people who are operating in 40 countries, managing over 91 million square feet of warehouse space. In 2004, TNT Logistics reported sales of $5.38 billion.
