Mobile virtual network operator selects Brightpoint to provide integrated logistics services
Los Angeles — December 1, 2005 — Wireless entertainment company Amp'd Mobile has tapped Brightpoint North America to provide integrate logistics services that will include inventory management, product fulfillment and distribution, and returns management.
Amp'd Mobile is a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that aims to provide entertainment content through wireless networks. The company has announced deals with Universal Music Group, Snoop Dogg, THQ and Moderati, among others, and is developing unique handsets with Kyocera Wireless and Motorola.
Brightpoint supports the global wireless telecommunications and data industry, providing such services as distribution, channel management, fulfillment, e-business solutions and other outsourced services.
In addition to handling logistics, Brightpoint also will provide to Amp'd Mobile with credit management services and other customized solutions.
"Our selection of Brightpoint will enable us to provide state-of-the-art supply chain services to our customers and retailers with very little ramp up time," said Blake Isaacs, vice president of product development at Amp'd Mobile.
