Looks to increase supply chain visibility, decrease costs by streamlining legacy processes
Monrovia, CA — February 2, 2004 — Lockheed Martin is expanding its relationship with integration solution provider SeeBeyond in a bid to further enable the enterprise-wide, real-time business process management of its supply chain activities, as well as to create collaborative environments for its customers.
Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin employs about 130,000 people worldwide and reported 2002 sales of $26.5 billion.
In selecting SeeBeyond as one of its key providers of enterprise integration, Lockheed Martin is set to use the provider's Integrated Composite Application Network (ICAN) Suite 5.0 as a foundation to create a more streamlined supply chain and collaborative environment between customers and suppliers.
SeeBeyond is providing the infrastructure necessary to integrate Lockheed Martin's legacy environments with an eye toward enabling increased visibility across the supply chain as well as streamlining and eliminating time-consuming legacy processes.
"Lockheed Martin's focus of 'one company' to our customers, business partners and employees requires real time flow of information across our organization," said Joe Cleveland, chief information officer at Lockheed Martin. "The support of our legacy environments while delivering end-to-end, real-time visibility across Lockheed Martin Corporation is vital to this end."
"A comprehensive business integration platform can serve as the foundation to create a more streamlined supply chain and collaborative environment, allowing information to flow seamlessly across the extended enterprise," said Carv Moore, president and chief operating officer of SeeBeyond.
