Corporation within Department of Justice completes e-sourcing projects, signs on for more to achieve cost savings goals

Short Hills, NJ — April 22, 2004 — Global eProcure, a provider of e-sourcing tools and services, today announced that it has signed a 2-year agreement with the UNICOR-trade name for Federal Prison Industries Inc. (FPI), a wholly owned federal government corporation within the Department of Justice (DOJ). Global eProcure said it has been working with UNICOR since January 2002, and this long-term contract follows the completion of several successful e-sourcing projects.

UNICOR provides employment and training for inmates in the Federal Prison System while remaining self-sufficient through the sale of its products and services. UNICOR placed an order with Global eProcure against a GSA Multiple Award schedule contract using procedures under FAR Regulation 8.4.

"UNICOR has been very pleased with the results obtained from Global eProcure's reverse auction services, software and support. We have been able to successfully leverage Global eProcure's strategic sourcing expertise to help us lower our costs and do more with limited resources," said Richard Broadwater, chief of procurement at UNICOR. "Global eProcure has been extremely cooperative in working with the team at UNICOR, and we are excited to expand our relationship with them in helping us achieve our cost savings goals."

Under the terms of the contract, Global eProcure will provide complete e-sourcing services (Full Services as well as Desktop Application) to UNICOR to help it maximize opportunities to reduce operational costs and create sourcing process efficiencies. This contract can also be used by all other DOJ entities.

"We believe there is a significant opportunity for UNICOR and DOJ to realize cost and time savings across the organization," said Roopa Makhija, president of Global eProcure. "We really enjoy working with the UNICOR team and look forward to continuing to help them achieve their business objectives."
