Technology distributor selects warehouse management system to improve customer service and warehouse operations

Downers Grove, IL — April 29, 2004 — Technology distributor WYNIT has selected a warehouse management system (WMS) from supply chain execution solution provider Integrated Warehousing Solutions to improve its warehouse operations and expand customer service.

Headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y., and in business for nearly 18 years, WYNIT is a national distributor of digital imaging, computer peripheral, ID/security, outdoor and video editing products.

The company is looking to Integrated Warehousing Solutions' IRMS WMS system to significantly automate operations in all major areas of warehouse, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing and shipping, at WYNIT's facilities in Albany, N.Y., and Fresno, Calif.

Other benefits that WYNIT expects to derive from the use of IRMS include improvements in operational efficiency and material movement, improved inventory accuracy, increased velocity in order throughput and improved customer service.

"The ability to respond quickly and accurately to our customers' needs is of utmost importance to WYNIT," said Walter Kolodziey, director of information technology at the distributor. "The real-time, accurate information that the IRMS system provides will allow us to meet their ever-changing needs faster than ever before and provide them with the best level of customer service in the industry."

Integrated Warehousing Solutions, an operating unit of UPP Business Holdings, is headquartered in Downers Grove, Ill.
