Richmond, CA — June 24, 2004 — Fitness equipment manufacturer York Fitness Worldwide is set to use a product information management system from retail solutions specialist QRS to implement a new brand information management strategy.

York Fitness provides fitness equipment to mass retailers, big box sporting goods stores and professional, college and high school athletic teams. The company will use QRS IMPACT enterprise edition as part of an initiative to ensure that all information related to the execution of York's retail product brand strategy is communicated accurately and cost-effectively to the consumer through all internal and external business processes and distribution channels.

IMPACT is a product information management software solution designed specifically for brand marketers, suppliers and retailers, QRS said. By providing a single, global repository of product information within a company, IMPACT helps to ensure the on-time, accurate and relevant flow of information across departments, diverse channels and trading partner syndication points, according to QRS.

The solution provider says that IMPACT will be key to helping York meet its goal of communicating to the consumer York's and the retailer's product brand strategies through product, marketing and merchandising systems in order to achieve top-line growth and increased profitability.
