Cincinnati: Graeter’s, an ice cream manufacturer and confectioner, has selected SYSPRO ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to run the totality of the company’s operations.
Graeter’s, a family-owned business based here, produces ice creams, chocolates and baked goods both for sale at retail establishments as well as via mail order.
According to Richard Graeter, CEO, the company selected SYSPRO because of its need to maintain the highest standards of service to its expanding customer base as well as comply with new FDA regulations. As a result of rapid growth Graeter had outgrown the existing Sage Accpac ERP and a manual system for MRP.
Says Graeter, “We looked at several software solutions, and the choice narrowed to one other and SYSPRO. We opted for SYSPRO not only based on functionality, but on lower initial pricing and projected annual maintenance costs.”
He points to other factors which impacted the decision, “Other significant points were the scalability of the SYSPRO solution and real-time financial integration.”
He looks to SYSPRO to “enable company management to completely understand our profit picture, expertly manage our business, facilitate FDA compliance and service our customers in an accurate and timely manner.”
