Eden Prairie, MN September 24, 2002 HighJump Software, a provider of supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, this week touted its retail sector successes, asserting that the company's "aggressive focus" on retailers' challenges have netted the provider a string of high-profile customer wins.
Founded in 1983, HighJump said its solutions for supply chain execution, collectively known as Supply Chain Advantage, help retail customers to address such challenges as meeting the demands of more frequent and on-time store deliveries, effectively managing flow-through, gaining visibility and control of inventory, and driving down the amount of inventory in the supply chain.
HighJump provides solutions for warehouse, yard and transportation management, as well as supply chain visibility, event management, supply chain collaboration and automated data collection.
Among its recent customer wins, HighJump particularly underlined its wins with Circuit City, Verizon and Starbucks.
Circuit City selected HighJump's solution to improve customer service and streamline operations at all seven of its U.S. distribution facilities, while Starbucks chose HighJump to automate its product distribution network, according to the provider.
Steve Banker, director of supply chain research at technology consultancy ARC Advisory Group, noted that HighJump's solutions offer companies a way to modify their supply chain execution system without creating custom code.
"Retail [distribution center] implementations are extremely complex, and HighJump's successful implementation at Circuit City provides further proof of the company's high-volume, complex implementations," Banker said.
