The Christian and Missionary Alliance Selects Optika

Plans on streamlining accounts payable processes, integrating solution with Microsoft Great Plains app

Colorado Springs, CO — May 13, 2003 — The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), an evangelical denomination with a major emphasis on world evangelization, said this week it has tapped enterprise content management provider Optika Inc. for its Acorde Context and Process to streamline The C&MA's accounts payable processes.

The C&MA is integrating Acorde with its Microsoft Great Plains eEnterprise application, enabling it to capture, manage, route and approve invoices and related transaction information. The solution allows invoices to be delivered and tracked to personnel throughout the organization, eliminating several manual steps including duplicate keying of information and the potential for keying errors as well as document access delays by overseas participants.

Skotty Consulting Group, a Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions Partner headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo., provides implementation and support services for The C&MA.

"We have a fundamental belief that technology can significantly innovate our business process and achieve significant cost savings and benefit," said Duane Wheeland, vice president for operations/treasurer of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. "We are achieving great success in enhancing our business processing efficiency and information sharing throughout our organization as a result of a strong partnership with Optika, Microsoft Business Solutions and Skotty Consulting Group."

Added Warren Pease, vice president at Skotty Consulting Group, "Through the integrated solution of Acorde and Microsoft Great Plains, The C&MA is enhancing the speed and accuracy of its financial back office operations, allowing the organization to focus on their primary mission objectives."
