Manufacturers cite customer demand as the primary driver of confidence despite continued challenges related to tariffs, labor availability, material costs and broader economic uncertainty.

In fact, growth expectations remain strong, with 85% of manufacturers expecting revenue increases in 2026, including roughly one-third anticipating double-digit growth, according to Sikich’s 2026 H1 Sikich Manufacturing Industry Pulse survey.

“Manufacturers are approaching 2026 with steady confidence and a strong focus on execution,” says Jerry Murphy, principal at Sikich. “Rather than reacting to uncertainty, leaders are making deliberate investments that strengthen operations and position their organizations for success in the months ahead.”
