LRQA acquired Lindinger Inspection Engineers, International Compliance Group (ICG) and the American Center for Sustainable Certifications (ACSC), significantly strengthening its inspection, certification and responsible sourcing capabilities across the United States.

“At a time when many organizations are hesitating due to uncertainty, LRQA is leaning forward. Risk isn’t a deterrent for our clients, it’s something they need to navigate with confidence, to ensure a strong and secure future. These acquisitions reflect both the pace of change in global markets and our certainty in the long-term demand for independent risk management, data and expertise,” says Ian Spaulding, CEO of LRQA.

Key takeaways:

·        These acquisitions mark a major acceleration in LRQA’s growth strategy, expanding its footprint in one of its fastest-growing regions while strengthening existing technical expertise in inspection services, social auditing and management systems certification.

·        Together, the three acquisitions add new inspection scale for major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) clients, specialist social auditing expertise for global brands and expanded ISO certification capability in the automotive and industrial sectors.

·        Lindinger Inspection Engineers becomes LRQA’s first dedicated inspection services acquisition in the United States. The business enhances LRQA’s technical inspection capability, enabling greater scale and delivery for major EPC clients across the energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

·        ICG significantly expands LRQA’s responsible sourcing capability. With deep expertise in internationally recognized standards, including SLCP, WRAP, Higg FEM and SEDEX, ICG adds more than 1,500 annual audits, strengthening the data and intelligence underpinning LRQA’s supply chain risk intelligence software.

·        ACSC brings high-quality expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with a strong client base in the automotive sector.

“What unites these businesses is deep technical credibility, their well-respected leaders and a shared commitment to helping clients protect people and assets. By fully integrating them into the LRQA platform while retaining entrepreneurial expertise from founders and owners with shared values, we’re building capability at pace, and we continue to pursue an active acquisition pipeline globally,” adds Jonathan Chidley, corporate development director for LRQA.
