Drivers are having to wait upwards of 10 hours at the U.S.-Mexico border as officials search for migrants illegally crossing the border.

The long lines are creating chaos and congestion on several main avenues as over 350 trailers packed with products manufactured at local factories wait to cross the border, Mexico News Daily reports. To reduce discomfort during the long wait, Ciudad Juarez authorities have added portable toilets along the roads leading to the city's three ports of entry to the U.S.

The delays come after the CBP decided to withdraw personnel from official border crossings to help process migrants into the United States. Some lanes at ports of entry have closed, while travelers at other northern border crossings have experienced lengthy delays. However, Baja, California has ports of entry that are operating normally.

It is feared that congestion at the border will only worsen in coming weeks as traffic spikes for spring holidays and Trump threatening to close the border in general.

According to Mexico Daily News, Mexico would lose trade revenue as high as $808.8 million a day. Meanwhile, a majority of the U.S.'s fresh produce is imported from the country, potentially harming the global food supply chain and hiking up prices for consumers
