Transplace Acquires M33 Integrated

Transplace acquired a third-party logistics provider with strength in the packaging, chemical and materials sectors

Sept. 18, 2015Dallas, TXTransplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, announced that it acquired M33 Integrated, a third-party logistics (3PL) provider with strength in the packaging, chemical and advanced materials sectors. This acquisition expands Transplace’s vertical expertise and geographical reach, and further supports the company’s commitment to strategic growth in order to meet the supply chain needs of its growing customer base. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

M33 Integrated delivers a strategic combination of technology tools, intelligence and consultative services to help shippers optimize logistics and reduce transportation costs to support business goals. Through its combination of proprietary technology and supply chain expertise, M33 Integrated delivers logistics solutions to a diverse customer base. M33 Integrated’s Greensboro, NC operations center and Greenville, SC technology center will become the Transplace Southeastern Center of Excellence, and will operate as part of the company’s transportation management business, which is led by President Frank McGuigan.
