American Express Company yesterday announced a strategic agreement with RightWorks Corporation, a partner company in the Internet Capital Group network and a provider of next-generation e-business applications, to integrate the American Express Corporate Purchasing Card platform into the RightWorks eBusiness Application Suite. RightWorks and American Express will offer online enrollment for buyers and suppliers, with click-through access to American Express card membership applications, and merchant acceptance directly from the RightWorks Open Commerce Network.
As part of the agreement, RightWorks will utilize the American Express Corporate Purchasing Card to enable a streamlined payment and reconciliation process for online purchases between buyers and sellers. The American Express Corporate Purchasing Card platform extends the benefits of the RightWorks solution by automating the payment, reconciliation and data integration processes, thereby providing an end-to-end electronic purchasing solution. This interoperability is designed to facilitate the process of order placement, fulfillment, reconciliation, data management and program maintenance.
