Your Own Private Exchange

Clarus, Microsoft and Compaq launch B2B ExchangePaqs

ATLANTA, REDMOND, HOUSTON -- November 7, 2000 -- Clarus, Microsoft and Compaq joined forces to create ExchangePaqs, the hardware, software and consulting services and support needed to build and deploy "private" digital marketplaces. B2B ExchangePaqs feature the marketplace framework of Clarus eMarket, the Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers (including Windows, Commerce Server 2000, BizTalk Server 2000, SQL Server 2000), Compaq Proliant Servers, StorageWorks, and design and implementation services from Compaq Global Services.

The trios offering allows autonomous operation of the marketplace, lower cost of ownership, collaborative content management and packaged analytics. B2B ExchangePaqs are designed to fulfill the B2B promise of time to business results for private exchanges.

ExchangePaqs are by invitation only. But there is a good reason behind what seems to be technological snobbery. These exchanges facilitate limited exposure of confidential or competitive information. Companies will be able to confidently build private exchanges with trusted technology partners.
