WAM!NET Acquires is.com

Eagan, MN. -- November 30, 2000 -- Business Wire -- WAM!NET, a provider of B2B managed network, storage, hosting and professional e-services, acquired is.com, a privately-owned, Eagan, MN-based provider of e-commerce services.


Started in 1992 under the name KeyTech, is.com specializes in the design, construction and deployment of systems and consultantcy services that enable B2B e-commerce activities, such as supply side management.  The addition will bolster WAM!NET's network and storage infrastructure, business process and workflow solutions, and extend its e-commerce system development and implementation.


Approximately 40 is.com employees will be retained by WAM!NET, including systems engineers and developers, software architects, quality assurance analysts, project managers and technical writers.


is.com will become a wholly owned subsidiary of WAM!NET Inc. The acquisition was structured as a stock-for-stock transaction. Additional terms were not disclosed.
