Atlanta -- December 5, 2000 -- Atlanta-based Ability and Vertex Inc. recently signed a multi-year agreement that integrates the supply chain optimization software, ProfitAbility, with Vertex's tax management offering.
The combined offering allows clients to stay abreast of the latest tax and regulatory changes, and makes for a more accurate accounting process. Ability customers who integrate the two solutions will buy licenses for the tax offering directly from Vertex. The integration is scheduled for completion by December.
The agreement with Vertex gives Ability customers the opportunity to expand their geographic reach without the increased tax administration that often accompanies growth through e-commerce initiatives, said Jim Byrnes, President of North American Operations for Ability.
