Romich Moves On

Former IQXpert CEO takes over at Verian Technologies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRNewswire)  February 28, 2001 Verian Technologies, a provider of Web-based procurement and materials management technology for mid-market organizations, has appointed Patrick Romich as its CEO and a board member.

Tehseen Ali, a Verian Technologies co-founder, has been named chairman of the board for the company.

"Verian Technologies has come to a critical point in its business plan and needs a heavy hitter to guide us to the top of the market," said Ali, commenting on Romich's appointment. "Romich not only has the experience we need to take us to the next level, but he has the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to grow a technology company in today's competitive environment."

Romich joins Verian Technologies with more than 18 years of combined experience in executive management and sales management with Information Handling Systems (IHS) where he led the product development and management efforts for the engineering products division. IHS is the world's largest publisher of engineering-related integrated technical information database solutions.

Romich also has extensive experience in forming and growing technology companies. He most recently formed IQXpert, a software company that merged with PartMiner. IQXpert was a market leader in component and supplier management solutions. Romich is a graduate of Wilkes University with a B.S. in business administration, with a concentration in business management and computer science.
