Solution is first to leverage open source

Horsham, PA October 11, 2001 Taking full advantage of the benefits of open-source technology, ASPRE Inc. has announced that its ASPRE SPx e-Business Support System is now available for the Linux operating system.

ASPRE said the technology, which is debuting at ISPCON Fall 2001 in Las Vegas this week, will enable corporate data centers and service providers to maximize profitability and automate business processes by synchronizing front- and back-office functions, like offer promotion and relationship management. By creating a single view into all business processes and reducing the number of systems needed, ASPRE hopes the technology will leverage data center best practices, while enabling interactive communication with customers, resellers, suppliers and administrators.

In a statement released by the company, Alan Rihm, president and CEO, expressed confidence that the ASPRE SPx system will be able to deliver benefits companies with complex business processes and infrastructure needs. ASPRE SPx Professional has been developed using PHP and MySQL to provide the benefits of open-source technologies and a compelling total cost of ownership solution, he said.
