Maximizing Supplier Enablement

MRO Software expands suite of e-business solutions

Bedford, MA December 14, 2001 MRO Software Inc., a provider of e-business solutions for asset-intensive companies, has expanded its suite of MRO software to include MAXIMO® Project Manager, MAXIMO Catalog Manager and MAXIMO Marketplace Manager.

According to MRO Software, the new MAXIMO solutions are designed to work with the company's existing portfolio of supplier-enablement offerings, including Software's OCS and Collego Catalog Manager. MRO Software said that its customers that have asset-intensive organizations, such as distributors and manufacturers, use these offerings to enable electronic collaboration with their customers.

MAXIMO is built on a distributed component architecture and focuses on asset lifecycle management and B2B collaboration. MRO Software stated that the three new capabilities for customers in the MAXIMO suite are:

·        MAXIMO Project Manager, which has complete asset lifecycle management, from construction and build-out to plant or facility maintenance;

·        MAXIMO Catalog Manager, which can be used by companies with suppliers that are in various stages of e-Business adoption; and

·        MAXIMO Marketplace Manager, which is a hosted service for companies that want to create and manage their own private marketplace.

Chip Drapeau, president and CEO, MRO Software, said: "MAXIMO Catalog Manager and MAXIMO Marketplace Manager allow customers to control their own e-business destiny by managing catalog items for suppliers that have content in various stages of digital readiness. These new modules interact seamlessly with suppliers who are already using our Online Commerce Service by combining buyer-managed data with supplier-managed data for a complete online marketplace solution."

MAXIMO Project Manager and MAXIMO Catalog Manager are available this month as licensed software products.  MAXIMO Marketplace Manager is a hosted subscription service available immediately.
