San Jose, CA February 12, 2002 Software company Apexon today announced that Matt Holleran has joined the company as president and CEO, bringing a background in software marketing and industrial operations to the provider of solutions for supplier relationship management (SRM).
Founder R.S. ChandraSekaran, who previously served as president and chief executive officer, will assume the title of chairman and will continue to promote the company's key messages with customers and in the marketplace.

"Matt's knowledge and experience makes him a perfect choice for Apexon. In addition, Menlo Ventures has made a substantial follow-on investment in Apexon to fund the next exciting phase in the development of this world-class enterprise software company."
Holleran previously served as founding vice president of marketing and business development at Datasweep, a provider of integrated plant systems that now counts such clients as Flextronics International, Lucent Technologies and Johnson & Johnson. Prior to Datasweep, Holleran served in sales and marketing positions at Clarify, a provider of customer relationship management solutions with clients such as Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks and General Electric.
Earlier in his career, Holleran gained line manufacturing operations experience at Cummins Engine Co.
Holleran holds an MBA in general management from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in engineering and economics from Dartmouth College.
