New York April 26, 2002 Old-line industrial purchasing stalwart Thomas Register this week expanded its relationship with New Economy darling Yahoo! Inc. to make Thomas Register a featured content and information provider on Yahoo!'s small business Web site.
Under the new agreement, users searching Yahoo! Small Business for industrial product information will have access to Thomas Register's product and company information, online company catalogs and computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and models.
Additionally, the agreement enables Yahoo! users to submit requests for quotations (RFQs) and purchase items online from Thomas Register's library of 2,800-plus e-commerce enabled company catalogs.
"We are pleased to be chosen as the featured industrial information resource for Yahoo! Small Business," said Pat Daloisio, associate publisher of Thomas Register. Daloisio added that the agreement allowed his company to offer its information to a larger audience.
"We are pleased to expand our agreement with Thomas Register to continue offering small business customers access to increased content and online purchasing capabilities," said Bud Rosenthal, vice president and general manager for Yahoo! Small Business.
Thomas Register services are now integrated into the recently launched Yahoo! Small Business site, a new resource for online small business services and solutions.
