Agilisys Names New Chief

Solution provider for the process industry taps tech industry vet

Malvern, PA  June 17, 2002  A new president and CEO has taken over at Agilisys, a provider of solutions to the process manufacturing and distribution industries.


C. James Schaper took over as of June 1 at Agilisys, which offers a process industry-specific solution that provides collaborative supply chain planning, relationship management and enterprise resource planning capabilities.


Schaper brings more than 20 years of technology industry experience to his new post. He formerly has served with Primis, Per-Se Technologies, Dun and Bradstreet Software and Banyan Systems.


Agilisys, which spun off from SCT earlier this month, serves the food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, biotechnology and related process industries.


The new company, formed under ownership by Golden Gate Capital, Parallax Capital Partners and management, will bring to market the Agilisys solution, formerly called iProcess.sct.


Agilisys' customers include Coca-Cola Fountain, GlaxoSmithKline and Valvoline.
