IDS Scheer and Intalio Extend Relationship

Develop joint business process management solution

Berwyn, PA  August 7, 2002  IDS Scheer Inc., a provider of consulting and software solutions, this week announced it has extended its relationship with Intalio, a developer of business process management software. Through the agreement, IDS Scheer and Intalio will develop a joint solution to integrate the Intalio|n3 Business Process Management System into ARIS for a solution that will design, implement, execute and manage intra- and inter-enterprise processes using IDS Scheer's ARIS Tools.

According to the companies, the partnership reflects a stronger technical integration between the their flagship products. IDS Scheer will use the Intalio technology to deliver a single solution, enabling its huge customer base to use ARIS to manage the business process lifecycle from the design and deployment of business processes to their operative execution and optimization. The companies said they are also joining forces to provide marketing, sales and support for the product worldwide.

The integrated solution is based on the Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) developed by the Business Process Management Initiative (BPM). The first phase of the joint product will be available in Q4 2002.
