Pittsburgh, PA August 26, 2002 Printcafe Software Inc., the operating system for print, today announced that Palmer Printing Co. Inc., a commercial sheetfed printer in St. Cloud, Minn. has successfully implemented the Printcafe Hagen print management system.
Hagen OA, an enterprise solution for commercial printing companies, integrates an accounting package with applications for job management, purchasing, scheduling, inventory and fulfilment all of which are designed for printing. Additionally, Printcafe recently introduced multi-language, multi-currency functionality for Hagen OA to meet the needs of the European commercial print market and other printers with multi-lingual staff.
"We continue to experience higher customer demands and shorter turnaround times," said Julie Hruby, IT Manager at Palmer Printing. "Since installing Printcafe Hagen we are now operating more efficiently across the plant and are able to produce more work in the same amount of time. Hagen enables our staff to share the information they need so they can work together faster and better."
Printcafe's print management systems, including Hagen, Logic, PSI, PrintSmith and Prograph serve as the foundation of a printer's business information system. Add-on modules, such as Printcafe PrintFlow(TM) for dynamic scheduling, Printcafe Auto-Count(R) for shop floor data collection and Printcafe PrinterSite, extend the information network to the shop floor and to the sales force.
