Chicago September 4, 2002 divine inc., a provider of extended enterprise solutions, today announced divine OnTrack 5.0, a suite of software applications that the company said schedule, dispatch, track, monitor and control information on the factory floor. In addition, divine OnTrack coordinates material, equipment and human resources.
divine OnTrack is a production management software system, which the company added to its vertical-specific solutions for the manufacturing industry with its acquisition of Real World Technology Inc. in February 2002. The software builds on the earlier version of OnTrack's core production management and tracking capabilities; now it includes one-click deployment, a configurable user interface, expanded verification functionality, event-based monitoring and Web-based reporting.
Pioneer-Standard Electronics, a $2.3 billion broad-line distributor of electronic components and computer systems for leading manufacturers, runs Systems Integration and Value Added Center (SIVAC), a fully automated, state-of-the-art build-and-distribute facility designed to streamline hardware setup, software loading and configuration, system testing and burn-in, among other services. James Sage, executive vice president and chief information officer of Pioneer-Standard Electronics, said, "OnTrack 5.0 drives our SIVAC facility operations, coordinating and tracking each step of production from order receipt to product shipment. In addition to its other functionalities, divine OnTrack consists such components as configuration and order management, finite capacity scheduling, production content management, production execution and tracking, and shipment manifesting and tracking.
