QAD's new application takes into consideration manufacturers' requests

Huron, OH September 24, 2002 This week at its annual Midwest User Group conference QAD, a collaborative commerce solutions provider for manufacturers, introduced its MFG/PRO eB2, a suite of enterprise applications for manufacturing, distribution and financial management. The company said MFG/PRO eB2 incorporates more than two dozen new areas of functionality and includes more than 20 enhancements requested by global manufacturers to address their specific needs.

The requested enhancements include streamlined financial functions, lean manufacturing functions, collaborative trading partner solutions, and CRM service/support functions.

QAD said its MFG/PRO eB2 manufacturing, distribution and financial management enterprise applications are built on open, standards-based architecture. It has an open, three-tiered architecture for flexibility and scalability. QAD claimed the thin-client solution contributes to a reduced cost of ownership by helping minimize application deployment and management, as well as required user training.

Pamela Lopker, QAD president and chairman of the board, said "Our customers are the real experts at defining and prioritizing the functions and features they need. After 23 years of working with global manufacturers, we still believe that the best way to deliver a solid foundation for collaboration in a fast-changing business environment is to collaborate with your customers in order to deliver the exact functionality they need for their most critical business issues."

QAD said MFG/PRO eB2 is available immediately.
