The County of Santa Cruz selects BPM technology from HandySoft Corp.

Vienna, VA September 26, 2002 HandySoft Corp., a provider of collaborative process management (CPM) software, has announced that the County of Santa Cruz, Calif., has chosen HandySoft's BizFlow 8 collaborative process management software to manage its present and future workflow and business processes.

With most government procedures being driven by laws and regulations, the Santa Cruz County Assessor has joined many government offices in using technology to automate its workflow and process management, as well as its document handling. HandySoft said BizFlow provides a secure, scalable and configurable collaborative process management platform for automating many government processes, including property assessment and tax collection management, applications and permits handling and processing, procurement, and human resources and logistics functions.

In addition, the company said BizFlow has a library of pre-built government forms to speed the deployment of electronic form submission and process automation. BizFlow also provides reporting on how efficiently processes are being executed and tools for redefining and refining them.

"We need a collaborative process management solution that is secure, open, scalable and robust enough to automate and integrate the County's high volume of processes and related documents," commented Bob Petersen, assessor of Santa Cruz County. "We believe that BizFlow will be able to handle the current and future collaboration required among the many county and state divisions and agencies."
