Westchester, PA October 21, 2002 Supply chain planning solution provider Prescient Systems announced a new addition to its C-level staff. Kevin Moore, formerly of Oracle Corp., was hired to be Prescient's chief operating officer. In his role as COO, the company said Moore is going to be responsible for driving client-facing activities, including sales, professional services and client support.
The company said Moore is bringing more than 20 years' experience in operations and consulting roles within the technology industry to his new position. At Oracle, he was most recently vice president of strategic accounts for the North American consulting practice. Also during his seven-year tenure at the software company, Moore was in charge of growing the business at a variety of levels.
While at Oracle's Pacific Northwest Consulting Practice, which had not been profitable for five consecutive years prior to his leadership, Moore returned the practice to profitability in just 18 months and grew it to become one of Oracle's top five in North America. Prescient said Moore also has experience in enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management and has held a variety of high-level positions in Oracle's global, national and state-level consulting organizations.
Prior to Oracle, Moore held positions at Unisys and Wang Laboratories in general management, sales, consulting and operations.
Jane Hoffer, Prescient Systems' president and CEO, said her company is gathering what it considers necessary for continued financial growth, sustained profitability and rapid customer acquisition. "The addition of Kevin Moore to our executive team and the operations expertise that he brings ensures that Prescient is strategically positioned to capitalize on its stronghold in the consumer products market."
