Marlborough, MA December 6, 2002 Kewill Systems, a provider of multi-carrier shipping management and supply chain software, announced it has partnered with ReturnCentral to offer Web-enabled returns processing technology to its customers. As part of the agreement, ReturnCentral and Kewill will provide the shipping management solution to ReturnCentral's customers.
ReturnCentral said it would work with Kewill to offer Clippership and Kewill.Ship multi-carrier shipping management with its Web-based reverse logistics solution, ReturnMatrix. ReturnCentral explained its Web-based returns management software features rules-based authorization, transportation management, disposition optimization and reporting capabilities, as well as full systems integration.
Kewill said Clippership is a multi-carrier shipping application that manages carrier compliance for major parcel and less than truckload (LTL) carriers. Kewill.Ship Enterprise is designed for organizations seeking a system managed from a centralized server. Front-office users can submit shipments from any enterprise-wide location without limiting their ability to distribute from multiple locations and suppliers, according to the provider.
In addition, both companies said the partnership would allow ReturnCentral's customers to process outbound orders and provide shipping data throughout the supply chain. They can also automate transportation routing and cost calculations for multiple parcel shipments, generate barcoded tracking labels and electronic manifests for all major parcel carriers, and reduce order-to-delivery cycle times.
