Atlanta December 9, 2002 Solutions integrator Data Systems International (DSI) has struck a deal with logistics solutions specialist Logility to offer an integrated supply chain management (SCM) solution.
DSI, launched in 1979, primarily develops, supports and markets a suite of wireless applications. The company also provides data collection hardware, implementation services, customer support and process improvement consulting. Logility's flagship Voyager solution enables networks of trading partners to integrate and synchronize their planning and e-fulfillment operations.
Under the new agreement, the two companies will offer an integrated solution including hardware, software and services intended to help companies eliminate supply chain inefficiencies.
"We intend to introduce Logility to our customers who do not yet have a SCM solution," said Jerry Munson, senior vice president of technology solutions at DSI.
"Companies using the combined solution of DSI's hardware knowledge and Logility Voyager solutions will now be able to drive revenue through increased fill rates, improved customer service, decreased forecast errors, reduced cycle times and reduced carrying costs associated with obsolete inventory," pledged Mike Demaline, vice president of business development for Logility.
DSI is headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., while Logility, a majority owned subsidiary of American Software, is based in Atlanta.
