Research Triangle Park, NC December 17, 2002 Resins producer Reichhold this week announced the promotion of Donna Massari to the position of vice president of supply chain, effective December 1.
Reichhold, the 75-year-old manufacturer of unsaturated polyester resins, coating and performance resins for various industries, has manufacturing operations throughout North America, Latin America and Europe. Reichhold is owned by Tokyo-based Dainippon Ink & Chemicals, the world's largest producer of printing inks and polyester resins.
Massari joined Reichhold in December of 2001 as senior director of supply chain for the global composites business. In her new role, Massari will be accountable for leading the Reichhold supply chain on a global basis, including purchasing and logistics. She is responsible for managing key materials and processes for the composites and global coating and performance resins businesses, as well as other corporate supply chain initiatives.
"Donna has done an excellent job of creating a supply chain organization that is truly global, focused on standardization of processes in order to increase efficiencies and proactive in their support of our businesses," said Mitzi Van Leeuwen, senior vice president of corporate services. "Donna's leadership on a global basis across our entire organization will have a significant impact on Reichhold's success in 2003 and beyond."
Prior to joining Reichhold, Massari spent the last 15 years in purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain management roles at Honeywell, Allied Signal and General Electric. Massari has worked on developing and driving supply chain, manufacturing, purchasing, information technology and sales cost-saving strategies with integrated supply programs to reduce non-value added work throughout the customer order fulfillment process.
Massari is a certified purchasing manager (CPM) from the Institute for Supply Management (formerly the National Association of Purchasing Management) and is Six Sigma green belt certified.
