INNOLOG Awarded AFB Contracts

Logistics systems integrator wins new projects at Wright Patterson

McLean, VA Ñ March 5, 2003 Ñ Logistics systems integrator Innovative Logistics Techniques (INNOLOG) has been awarded approximately $3.4 million in new contracts for projects at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (AFB) in Dayton, Ohio.

The new contracts include financial and program management support to the Business Information System Program Office, Air Force Materiel Command, in the Materiel Systems Group; acquisition support to the F/A-22 System Program Office at the Aeronautical Systems Center; and acquisition financial and engineering support to the Special Operations Forces (SOF), Systems Program Office (SPO) at the Aeronautical Systems Center.

"We have a long history of working with Wright Patterson AFB," said Curt Gwaltney, an INNOLOG vice president. "These programs leverage our domain expertise in providing acquisition management and logistics support to the Air Force."

INNOLOG said it has hired an additional dozen employees to staff these projects. The employees, who are located onsite at Wright-Patterson, range from acquisition managers and engineers to financial analysts. These staffers are responsible for overseeing the development of aircraft systems and management information systems, evaluating modifications and providing financial management and analyses.

The Business Information System Program Office's mission is to modernize Air Force data systems to ensure ready access to accurate digital product data. INNOLOG supports this mission of ensuring that current and emerging systems initiatives and digital product data can be achieved in an efficient and orderly manner through program management, financial management, technical liaison, metrics, scheduling and graphics support. This is a one-year contract with two options for one-year extensions.

For the F/A-22 System Program Office, INNOLOG has teamed with HJ Ford. INNOLOG is conducting technical analyses of prime contractor and subcontractor operations, identifying areas requiring improvements or corrective action and recommending courses of action to enhance the effectiveness of total weapon systems support. In addition, INNOLOG is completing reliability and maintainability analyses and logistics support, as well as system integration engineering support to the Avionics Integrated Product Team.

INNOLOG's third contract award is to oversee financial management and engineering support to supplement government organic resources at Wright-Patterson for modernization planning. Specifically, INNOLOG is supporting the Special Operations Forces Technical Planning Integrated Product Team (TPIPT).

INNOLOG is an integrator of logistics systems for homeland security, defense, and state and local government agencies. The company provides logistics management processes and technology intended to assure secure deployment of the right mission critical materiel and personnel to the right location at the right time. Its customers include the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the U.S. military and other defense and civilian agencies in federal, state and local government.

The privately held, minority-owned business enterprise recently announced record revenues for 2002 of $94 million, thanks primarily to a midyear award by Lockheed Martin to be a subcontractor on the TSA's Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) contract, which required the logistics management of deploying and training 44,000 passenger screeners at 429 airports nationwide.
