The University of Nottingham Taps SciQuest

Top-10 UK research university to implement e-procurement solution in research-intensive departments

Research Triangle Park, NC, and Nottingham, England — April 4, 2003 — SciQuest Inc. this week announced that The University of Nottingham, a top-10 research university in the United Kingdom, has signed a license agreement for HigherMarkets, a configuration of SciQuest's SelectSite e-procurement solution designed to meet the purchasing requirements of the higher education market.

The University of Nottingham will begin an initial implementation that will include users in the Medical School and School of Chemistry. The agreement also includes the integration of the HigherMarkets solution with the university's AGRESSO financial suite.

The University of Nottingham is one of the top 10 research universities in the United Kingdom in a league table by the BBC based upon the 2001 UK Research Assessment Exercise. The University is one of the region's leading institutions based on research grant awards with reported 2001-2002 research grant and contract awards in excess of £82 million ($128 million).
