Ottawa, Canada — June 18, 2003 — Webplan Corp., a provider of corporate performance management (CPM) software, today announced Coty Inc., a global manufacturer and marketer of personal fragrances, cosmetics and skin treatments, will implement Webplan 7 to improve its overall enterprise performance.
Coty operates in more than 25 countries; the Webplan solution will service sites in New York City and Sanford North Carolina. Webplan said its analytics solution would enable Coty to use up inventory of specified high-cost items prior to implementing any changes to product configuration.
Coty said Webplan is connecting with their existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and with their supply chain forecasting solution, thus creating an end-to-end CPM solution. Future phases of the implementation will include an interface to a warehouse management system (WMS) for detailed real-time inventory updates.
Coty said it is hoping that by integrating real-time data from across its existing enterprise systems, the CPM solution will provide visibility and analysis of information from across their manufacturing operation.
"The real-time information analytics and the simulation capabilities of the solution empowers everyone in the organization to make better decisions," said Robert Reinckens, vice president and chief information officer-Americas of Coty Inc. "This capability is now a requirement in the dynamic and competitive consumer packaged goods (CPG) market."
"Webplan is pleased to have been chosen by a leader in the fragrance and cosmetics space such as Coty," said Douglas Colbeth, president and CEO of Webplan.
