Dallas, TX — August 15, 2003 — The viaLink Co. said today that Essential Industries Inc., based in Merton, Wisc., has selected viaLink as its agent to connect to UCCnet.
viaLink said it would provide Essential Industries with a standards-compliant way to register product information in the UCCnet registry and to communicate that data to retailers and wholesalers who are UCCnet members.
viaLink maintains the data in the registry and manages the publication of data to trading partners on the UCCnet system on behalf of its clients. The provider said it also eliminates the need for independent UCCnet certification for Essential Industries, while providing ongoing compliance as standards and technology change.
Essential Industries provides private brand innovative water-based acrylic and urethane coatings and specialty cleaners for customers worldwide.
The viaLink Co. provides e-commerce services to the retail and CPG industries.
