The new tool easily connects job seekers with employers to address the supply chain skills gap

ChicagoSeptember 8, 2015APICS, a professional association for supply chain and operations management, launched a new Career Center tool to easily unite the most qualified supply chain candidates with the companies that need them.

It’s reported that nearly 3.5 million manufacturing jobs need to be filled over the next decade. The skills gap is expected to result in 2 million of those jobs remaining unfilled. The new APICS Career Center is designed for companies looking to elevate their supply chain through strategic hires, and provides job seekers with easy access to expert advice via career coaching, open positions, as well as courses and other career resources.

“APICS addresses two of the key challenges in supply chain today—developing supply chain talent and improving supply chain performance,” said APICS CEO Abe Eshkenazi, CSCP, CAE, CPA. “Part of our focus on developing talent is ensuring our APICS professionals are finding the right jobs to utilize their unique skill sets. Whether looking for a new job, needing to expand interview skills or simply wanting to keep up with the job landscape, the APICS Career Center is a valuable resource for all members of the supply chain management community.”

Ideal for professionals across a variety of specialties, including operations management, production, inventory, logistics and purchasing, the new APICS Career Center tool provides members with access to:
