American Eagle Outfitters Invests in Logistics Amidst Supply Chain Woes

As the supply chain continues to see turbulence, American Eagle Outfitters Strengthens its logistics operations with the acquisition of Quiet Logistics.

The supply chain industry is still dealing with significant disruption, prompting retailers and brands to invest in strengthening their logistics and supply chain operations. American Eagle Outfitters acquires Quiet Logistics to push supply chain resilience and capabilities. The logistics company remains a separate entity, serving other brands and retailers and currently operates in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, St. Louis and Jacksonville. AEO also recently invested in a shipping company.

Per Businesswire:

  • American Eagle Outfitters announced it has agreed to acquire Quiet Logistics, Inc. and strategic investments, for $350 million in cash.
  • AEO expects the transaction to be accretive in the first full year post-closing. Quiet Logistics will be a wholly-owned AEO subsidiary and will continue to run its business independently. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and is expected to close prior to year end.
