Montreal, QC, Canada—May 2, 2014—Longbow Advantage Inc., a provider of JDA warehouse management system (WMS) and workforce management (WFM) consulting services, announced it is now offering managed hosting services. With this new offering, Longbow Advantage can streamline efficiencies for clients by handling the information technology (IT) support for operations, systems, hardware and connectivity. These services complement the implementation and maintenance offerings for which the company is already known.
Longbow Advantage hosts all aspects of the JDA WMS or WFM infrastructure, including the software, hardware, licensing and connectivity. Longbow handles the day-to-day management and maintenance of the system so customers can focus on operations. Because there are no upfront equipment costs, outsourced hosting lowers capital expenses, and not having to maintain the system in house allows IT departments to concentrate on revenue-generating projects. Hosting externally also has a tendency to deliver a shorter time to implement.
“Many organizations do not have the internal support structure or expertise to maintain software solutions. Now they no longer need to hire additional people in order to implement and maintain complicated systems that require specific skill sets,” said Albert Furtado, president and COO, Longbow Advantage. “Our teams fulfill the work that goes along with installing and maintaining the solution, giving our clients the advantage of being able to focus on the strategy of their overall operations.”
The Longbow data center is located in Toronto, with a disaster recovery location based in Montreal, Canada. Systems are replicated between the two facilities, making it a fully redundant operation to ensure no points of failure. Clients are guaranteed a 99.3 percent uptime, which leaves little room for errors.
“We already have the infrastructure in place to get clients up and running in a short timeframe. When the client handles it alone, the process can take months longer,” said Furtado. “Our hosting scalability allows customers to react more quickly to changes and new requirements.”
